During the week of 2–6 February, the Universitat Politècnica de València hosted the first PUMP-UP on-site training seminar, introducing students to the project’s objectives and educational opportunities.
The seminars were delivered within the framework of Elisa Peñalvo’s courses in the Energy Engineering and Mechanical Energy Engineering degrees, specifically in the subjects of Energy Markets, Electricity, and Renewable Hybrid Systems. The sessions aimed to present the PUMP-UP project, explain its contribution to upskilling HVAC professionals in heat pump technologies, and encourage student participation in the PUMP-UP Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), available in both English and Spanish.
Participants were introduced to the structure and content of the MOOC, as well as to the digital learning platform hosting the course. The seminar provided practical guidance on registration procedures and highlighted the relevance of heat pump technologies in the context of Europe’s green energy transition.
In total, 92 students were informed about the PUMP-UP project and invited to register for the MOOC, marking an important milestone in the project’s outreach and dissemination activities.
The event successfully strengthened awareness of emerging skills needs in the HVAC sector and promoted engagement with innovative, open-access vocational training resources developed under the PUMP-UP initiative.
