Learning Units
Development of 7 learning units aiming to cover skills needs in the field of formal Vocational and Educational Training, as well as educational materials, and a trainers’ guide aiming to assist in the improvement of the teaching methods in the field.
MOOC
A Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) as well as an on-the-job training application for smartphones aiming to provide flexible online learning to technicians.
Trainer’s Guide
A guide designed to support VET trainers and workplace mentors in delivering the PUMP-UP curriculum including:
- Detailed lesson plans
- Best practices for delivering sessions
- Guidance on integrating training materials into learning settings,
- Assessment strategies to track trainee progress
Mobile App
The PUMP-UP Virtual Assistant Application supports HVAC technicians and trainees with step-by-step guidance, checklists, and FAQs for heat pump installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Designed for self-paced learning, it complements the PUMP-UP MOOC and is accessible on smartphones and tablets.
Available in seven languages (English, Spanish, German, Greek, Danish, French, Estonian), the App ensures broad access to high-quality vocational training, helping to enhance skills development and support the green energy transition in the HVAC sector.
Training Seminars
Organisation of 7 on-site and 8 online seminars to directly support the upskilling and recognition of heat pump competencies among HVAC technicians in partner countries and beyond, contributing to bridging the existing skills gap and strengthening the sector’s workforce capacity.
Microcredentials
The development of a system of certification, making use of heat pump micro-credentials based on European directives (COM/2021/770).
Statement of Support
To support us by acknowledging the significance and value of the PUMP-UP project in developing EU-relevant resources for the HVAC sector addressing common training needs.
Qualification Blueprint
The development of a Blueprint with specifications for a European Union-wide qualification for HVAC technicians.
Info-days
The organization of 7 national info-days in each partner’s country to promote the project’s results, and enhance upskilling initiatives with the goal of encouraging a discussion on the issues of skills needs in the field of HVAC among sectoral experts.
EU-wide Conference
A European-wide Conference to be held online in 2026 regarding Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning technology trends & reskilling needs, involving stakeholders from throughout the sector.
